Thanks Steve. I always check in when i can to read the updates and the unreleased tracks on this are truely a gift. I will always and forever care about Acetone. Not only are your records amongst my most loved favourites but i was introduced to your music through a dear friend who is sadly no longer around. Every time i put on an Acetone record it takes me right back to those long warm lazy summers. Good memories.

Most excellent stuff. So glad to have found this site. Didn't think I'd ever have the chance to hear more than what was on the albums.

Got turned onto you guys by the Black Watch when I pal of mine was serving as their umpteenth drummer. Such beautiful beautiful sounds.

Thanks much.

I love Acetone! When I was in college my friends and I worshipped Cindy, and it remains in my personal favorite albums of the 90s, along with the best work of Yo La Tengo, Stereolab, etc. I used to cover "No Need Swim." All of those bands, including Acetone, tried getting all mellow and boring by the late 90s, and even though I still liked those later albums it was the mid-90s mixed-dynamic of great ballads PLUS great garage head-smashing ROCK that really made for timeless, killer listening. Saw Acetone live one time at the Knitting Factory in NYC, maybe 1997, they were playing with an early line-up of Magnetic Fields, and suffice it to say Acetone blew them off the stage. There were about 12 people at the show... but it was so damn good. I still have the flier/poster for that show! I have made my living in music since 2002 and every time I'm interviewed about my favorite albums I always mention Cindy. When Keith Wood ran the American Rough Trade operation he used to tell me about these Acetone demos from the pre-Cindy era, which he promised me were even greater than the official album (which I never believed). He got fired from Rough Trade before I got a chance to get the demos from him! Is there a way I can FINALLY here the full legendary Cindy demos!?!? PLEASE let me know, I've waited sooooo long! Acetone forever. Seriously! Yeah!!!!!!!!!
